Sekhmet’s Sacred Annointing Oil

This special anointing oil was Blended and Blessed in Her Nevada temple as the Super Moon was rising on November 14, 2016.  The oil was then taken to the center of the Labyrinth and placed between the Goddess’s hands to charge beneath the energizing rays of this once-in-a-lifetime Super Moon.  The oil can be used for anointing during your special ceremonies or rituals.  It can be diffused for aromatherapy or to strengthen your bond to Sekhmet or Her temple.  Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and allow the subtle aromas to transport you to Her temple at Cactus Springs, or perhaps all the way to Egypt.  This anointing oil uses a base of extra virgin olive oil and a special Sekhmet-inspired blend of essential oils to create a unique spiritual experience.

Oils to Connect with Sekhmet:

Bergamot – dispels fear; uplifting; antidepressant
Cedar – strengthening; stimulant; connects to the ancient world
Cypress – opening; improves spiritual communication
Frankincense – purification; meditative; connects to ancient world
Sage – purification; enhances memory and concentration

Elemental Oils:

EARTH: Silver Fir Needle – uplifting; stimulation; motivation
WATER: Lavender – psychic awareness; healing; spirituality; relaxation for meditation
AIR: Lemon – renewing; inspiring; motivation
FIRE: Cinnamon – strength; protection; sexual energy

It will be many years before the moon is this close to the Earth again.  We only have a limited supply of this powerful, Lunar-enhanced oil available.  When it is gone, it is gone forever.  It is only available at the Temple of Goddess Spirituality Dedicated to Sekhmet.  We have packaged this oil in a unique red one-ounce bottle.  It is available for $5 per ounce.  Shipping and handling is an additional $2 if you cannot pick it up at the temple.  All proceeds benefit the Temple of Goddess Spirituality Dedicated to Sekhmet.

Temple news and upcoming events

At the suggestion of Temple founder Gen Vaughan, we are raising the reward to $4,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the theft of the Sekhmet statue. An updated reward poster can be downloaded via the link below:
Sekhmet Reward Poster

In less than a week, we have raised just over 1/3 of the funds needed for the replacement statue and new security system! Thank you everyone for your generosity. All donations made will go into the temple’s general fund so that if we raise money in excess of what is needed for these specific projects, it can be used for other current or future needs.

Donations can be made by Paypal via the button below, or in person at the temple, or by mail to:

Temple of Goddess Spirituality
PO Box 813
Indian Springs, Nv 89018

The statue has been ordered and we are planning the installation/dedication for the Full Moon on Sunday, August 10th. Temple Founder Genevieve Vaughan will be here for the celebration. I am hoping you will all be here to welcome both our new Sekhmet statue and Genevieve.

We had a great time Thursday, May 1st, celebrating Beltane by feeding the fairies, passing between two Bel fires, and dancing the May Pole. Thanks to all who shared the evening.

Remaining events this month are:

Full Moon Celebration on Wednesday, May 14: Potluck at 7:00 pm; ritual at 8:00 pm; open to all.

Women’s New Moon Circle on Wednesday, May 28: Potluck at 7:00 pm, followed by ritual in the Temple at 8:00 pm. This will be an evening of healing for women who have experienced child loss in any form.

Fundraiser to Replace Stolen Sekhmet Statue

Dear Sekhmet Family,

It has now been over a week since thieves removed the statue of Sekhmet from the Temple. Reluctantly, we have looked into having a replacement statue made, and found a wonderful artist in southern California, who can create for us a beautiful (and very heavy) image of Sekhmet.

Many of you have offered to help with the cost of replacement, and while I was hoping that was not going to be necessary, I’m afraid it is. We will also be putting in a high quality security system to keep this sort of thing from happening again.

We are needing to raise at least $3,500. All donations made will go into the temple’s general fund so that any funds raised in excess of what is needed for a replacement statue and security system may be used for other current or future needs.

You can make a donation by Paypal via the button below, or in person at the temple, or by check or money order mailed to:

Temple of Goddess Spirituality, dedicated to Sekhmet
PO Box 813
Indian Springs, Nv 89018

Your donations are tax deductible, and a receipt for your records will be immediately mailed back to you.

I will keep the community posted regularly as to how we are doing with the fund raising, and if all goes as intended, we anticipate that we’ll have an installation/dedication ritual with the new statue sometime in July or August.

Love and Blessings,

Candace Ross

Sekhmet Statue Stolen From Temple

Sekhmet Statue

Sometime during the night on Friday, April 18 or the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, April 19, 2014, the statue of our beloved Sekhmet was stolen from the Temple of Goddess Spirituality in Cactus Springs, Nevada. $4,000 reward* is being offered for information leading to arrest and conviction of the person or persons committing this desecration (*updated May 5, 2014).

If you have any information regarding this crime or the whereabouts of the statue, please contact Candace Ross at 702.569.0630 or worldpeacevolunteer AT yahoo.com.

You can help by downloading, printing, and distributing the reward poster available below, and by forwarding it to any groups or individuals that might assist us:

Priestess Training Program

The day before I left my job in San Diego to come here to the Temple, my employer took me aside and said, “Okay Candace, what’s it going to take to keep you?”

I remember my response very clearly. I said, “You could double my salary, and I wouldn’t stay. This is my life’s calling.”

Yesterday Letecia posted on Face Book a wonderful song by Anique Radiant Heart called “We are the Priestesses”. The song is amazing and I will be sharing it in this evenings Women’s New Moon ritual. (May 10, 2013)

Two lines in particular stood out to me.
The first “Serving You is our reward”, the second “We teach each other all that we remember”, reminded me it’s time to begin another Priestess Program.

The Program is a year long, and involves bi-monthly participation in scheduled rituals as well as a few hours each month working (with not for me) at the mundane tasks associated with a working Temple. (..”Serving You is our reward”)

Taking this course does not make you a Priestess. That designation is one you claim yourself, but the information provided can make you a better Priestess. And as Sister Priestesses, the intent is I will learn as much from you as you do from me. (…We teach each other all that we remember”)

There is no cost for this course, but there are expenses to you as far as gas to get here two or three times each month, and a minimum 100 hours of your time over the course of one year.

If anyone is interested in beginning this program, please see me this evening, or contact me at worldpeacevolunteer@yahoo.com and I will e-mail you an application, Priestess Ethics and Priestess Expectation list.
